Kakadu NP - East Alligator River and Ubirr Art

Our day commences with a 12 kilometre walk through ancient sandstone formations on the banks of the East Alligator River.
Kaypok flowers make a bright yellow statement against the deep blue of the sky.

Small pockets of art are found during the walk.

With a few weathered limestone caves.

Rainbow Bee Eater

The first freshwater croc of the journey.

Out a bit deeper the first salty.

Water has cut some tunnels in the limestone.

In the afternoon we take a stroll around the Ubirr art site.

The countryside surrounding Ubirr is stunningly beautiful.
