Sat 1st, Cape Leveque

Wind picks up overnight so I put down the end ventilation awnings in the wee hours of the morning. We leave the tropical roof on so there is still some flapping. Forecast is for wind for the next few days.

My cold has worsened overnight but is not too bad in the morning. Chris wishes me happy birthday and gives me an old people's b'day card and a fishing jacket which she has picked up in Kununurra. Jeff and Helen give me a Lions card which plays the Lion's song, Chris, being a mad Lions fan will probably give this a good workout! We decide to cancel the restuarant booking for tonight and do it again some time when we are all well and in the mood.

Chris does some washing as we have a plentiful supply of water in the beach shelter. Wind picks up as the day goes on and everything gets a bit of a sandblast. Wind finally starts abating a bit about 4:30pm, expect it will pick up overnight again.

A quiet day relaxing and hiding from the wind.
