Wed 5th, May River Crossing

Quiet night, no wind or rain just one cattle truck. Just a peaceful day planned. Chris spoils me with bacon and eggs for breakfast.

Quiet a few different birds around including a Jabaru. Chris has the binoculars out most of the day together with the bird id book and IOS app.

The morning is spent doing odd jobs. I resecure the Maxtrax onto the roof rack, pump up tyres to corrugated dirt pressures, clean fridges, fix a failed LED bar, dry stuff from packing up wet yesterday and replace a couple of blown fuses. Chris cleans the kitchen and cookware boxes as well as reorganising some of her clothes etc.

Quiet afternoon, wander downstream to the waterhole to see if there is anything alive in it to target. Too shallow and not enough water in it. The big water hole upstream may be a better bet. I've still got the remnants of the cold and am not that energetic today.

Chris cooks up a chicken pieces roast on the weber, six large pieces which we have picked up from Coles in Broome.
