Strong winds overnight, canvas making a lot off noise, not a good nights sleep. The only thing nice about the night was the woollen underlay.
Get up at sunrise (7:00am) and head for the beach for a fish, unfortunately the tide is well out and I have no luck. Finally give up and go back for coffee and breakfast.
The beach is nice, but not that exciting for photos.
We head off to the visitors centre and confirm that the latest camping info sheet says 8am to 9pm as the permitted hours for generators, this one was published in Jan 2013.
We then visit two of the most well known reef snorkling locations Turquoise Bay and Oyster Stacks. Too windy and still too cold to get interested. Continue driving down to Yardie Creek to see if is is negotiable while we are staying at Ningaloo Station. It is negotiable at all tides so we can come up this way if we wish.
Return to Turquoise Bay and go for a snorkel, Helen helps Chris get her mask and snorkel fitted and working properly. Currents are running fast so we don't get too carried away. Chris absolutely loved it.
Go for a short afternoon fish around a rocky outcrop the camp host put me onto. No touches. Bacon and eggs by Chris for dinner - no eggs broken, a new record!
