Wed 15th, Ningaloo Station

No problems with the wind during the night, wind actually abates. Awake to a sunny blue sky, still a bit nippy though. The wind strengthens during the morning, still cool but warming up as the day goes.

I go around the corner of the point and fish with both bait and lures for three hours without a single bite. This is the area where Phillip says fish can be caught of the beach. Talk to one of the regular campers who tells me that fish rarely ever come into the beach though you can get sharks off the beach at night.

Foxy and Sue arrive at about 2pm and Chris and Helen help them set up their tent.

In the afternoon I do a few jobs and relax. Chris takes off with my spinning rods and tries a lure for an hour or so without success. Doug, our neighbour has a good run in their boat and catch more mackeral than they can snap freeze, they offer it us and I cook grilled fish for 6 on the Weber BBQ.

We invite them and another couple over for drinks around the fire after dinner. First fire of the trip, cool enough and the wind has dropped enough to enjoy it.
