Sun 5th, Millstream Chichester NP

After a quiet and peaceful night we wake to the sun dawning over our stretch of the river.

A quite day doing a few jobs around the camp, catching up with the washing, generally relaxing etc. In the afternoon we go for a drive across to the Millstream homestead come visitors centre. Well worth a visit, the homestead walk takes you through the nearby permanent crystal clear stream from which the homestead got its name, a truly lovely place.

The Cookhouse
The Homestead Pool
Coming back to the Homestead there were Sturt Desert Peas in flower, the first time I've seen them and in April too.

From there we went onto Deepreach for a swim, this is a huge waterhole, long and wid with easy access to the water.

Tried a flick for a fish down from Crossing Pool in the running water but could not get any fish to take notice of a lure. Will try again with bait tomorrow. The catfish from the running water are supposed to be a cleaner taste than those from the main waterhole.
